Tomorrow, plans?

So, tomorrow is Valentines Day. To some people... this day is absolute hell for a variety of reasons.

I've been lucky enough to have a girlfriend 4 years straight for this shitty day. Why would I call it shitty when I've gf's for 4 straight years? Well, first off its a commercialized day for stores to make an absolute shedload of cash off of peoples love for each other!

Secondly, I've lost 2 girlfriends due to this day. I dont celebrate it in any way, shape or form. It's just another day of the year to me. Both girlfriends I lost went batshit crazy and proceeded to break up with me when they discovered I was being serious when I said I hate the day and don't buy gifts. That happened 2 consecutive years straight. I still find this entertaining.

The girl I'm with at the moment is so much like me when it comes to these kind of things its scary. When I told her about it she was like "No way, I feel the exact same way!". Incidentally its our 1 year anniversary on the 15th of this month (Fuck yeah!)

So, what are you guys doing for valentines? And if you're not what do you make of the day in general?

I cant put into words or get my head around it! I mean really...whats next best friends day?

  7. LDRs aren't the best for Valentine's Day. Picking up a belated present and sending it off tomorrow (already notified her of that). Aside from that, university and spending some time with her, I guess.

  12. I dont care about valentines day. Why only be nice/buy gifts etc. one day a year? Valentines day is a stupid excuse to make one day a year "special" when that should be the sort of thing people do on there own for the love of said other person.

  14. Valentine's day is totally like mother or father's day. Just a crappy excuse to buy gifts despite the fact that you have 365 days in a year to do so...

  17. I'm writing a card for my computer, she's just been so lovely this year.

In all seriousness - valentines day is essentially a cash cow for plenty of companies, so they shove it down your throat pretending it's something romantic.

  25. Feb 14th = Dinner, & sweet gestures from my guy typically (: He likes being hella cheesey.

Feb 15th = Steak dinner, & no strings attached BJ =] Always turns into more though, (; So I get lucky both days.

Valentine's day is practically everyday for me though, ehh. Just another day- but he gets like EXTRA sweet and EXTRA disney. lol
